CMHA celebrates National Volunteer Week

Posted April 7, 2019 by Site Manager

CMHA Oxford volunteers play a crucial role in our organization and our community. Without the dedication of volunteers, many programs offered by our branch would not be possible.

That’s why from April 7-13, CMHA Oxford joins organizations across the country in celebrating Canada’s 12.7 million volunteers during National Volunteer Week.

Volunteering can take many forms. At CMHAs across the country, volunteers are found working on special projects or programs, within fundraising activities such as Ride Don’t Hide, or serving on local boards. All of these activities help improve quality of life for individuals and families who are affected by mental health issues.

At CMHA Oxford, volunteers help by supporting the people we help and working towards achieving our vision of a healthy community. Volunteers at CMHA Oxford are Peer Supporters, Drivers, Event Volunteers, Board Members, Committee Members, Event Planners, and Fundraisers. The work and support we receive from our dedicated volunteers helps to create hope, recovery, and resiliency for all.

From all of us at CMHA Oxford, thank you to the amazing volunteers we work with every day. We truly appreciate your dedication in helping us work towards good mental health for all.
