Women & Wellness Oxford County is excited to announce that tickets are now available for their 5th Annual Fundraiser in support of Oxford County Walk-In Counselling. The dinner, silent auction, and raffle event will be at the South Gate Centre in Woodstock on Friday, September 27, 2019. Tickets are $50 each, or $400 for a table of 8 tickets.
The event itself began 16 years ago on Canada’s East Coast as a kitchen “party with a purpose” – to do something meaningful about mental health. It highlights the importance of discussing mental health in our community, in an intimate and enjoyable evening. Locally, this event has been raising funds for Oxford County Walk-In Counselling since 2015, and has been an important fundraiser for this program. The event hopes to donate $20,000 this year to Oxford County Walk-In Counselling.
This year’s event will feature Betty & Desiree Ford sharing their story of Hope, Recovery, and Resilience.
“We are ecstatic to be invited to this very special evening, as we believe in the importance of knowledge in the equation of solving mental health issues in our own neighbourhood,” says Betty Ford. “If we can help in any way to create awareness, our journey is more meaningful.”
Tickets can be purchased online and more information can be found on their Women & Wellness Oxford County Facebook page, or by calling 519-539-8055 x 226.
