The Crisis & Outreach Services of CMHA Oxford provides Crisis Intervention to individuals via telephone or in person. Crisis & Outreach Services are mobile, meaning a worker is able to meet with an individual anywhere in the community. As well, we serve as a 24-hour-a-day back-up to all other direct service programs of CMHA, the Oxford ACT Team, the BSO Geriatric Outreach Team through Woodstock Hospital, and the Addiction Services of Thames Valley OTN Withdrawal Management Program. The Crisis & Outreach team provides support to individuals experiencing distress as a result of any of the following:
- suicidal/homicidal thoughts or attempts
- grief reactions
- distressing mental health symptoms
- self-harm
- abuse
- substance abuse
- relationship issues
- housing issues
- financial concerns
- stress
- employment issues
- conflict with the law
- individuals requiring access to mental health services
The Crisis & Outreach Services can be accessed 24/7 at 1-866-933-2023 or www.reachout247.ca.
