The Anger Solutions Program™ helps individuals develop appropriate ways to express and resolve their anger. Built on a Psychosocial Rehabilitation foundation, Anger Solutions incorporates the best of several evidence-based therapeutic models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Assertiveness Training and Solution Focused/ Brief Therapy principles.
- Effectively expressing anger is a skill that can developed and improved upon. In Anger Solutions, we learn that anger is an important emotion that lets us know when something is not right in our lives and it can prompt us to make changes.
- Anger Solutions helps us confront underlying beliefs that dictate our behaviours. The program provides the tools needed to change old responses to more effective ones.
- A unique part of the program is called the forgiveness module. It teaches us that forgiveness is a choice. Discover how hanging on to old grievances might be hurting us and how choosing to forgive might actually free us to move forward in our lives.
Anger Solutions is eight modules and delivered in two-hour group sessions. The program runs twice a year and is open to anyone living in Oxford County. Cost of the group is $100.00 which includes a manual.
